This is a lot better than some of the other book ideas I've been reading on yahoo. The only problem is that this is not a super uncommon occurence anymore. My parents got devorced when I was 6 and my friends mom is moving to Colorodo without her or her dad. Unless you and your sister did something drastic, I don't see your story as anymore important than mine.
