What should I do about my crush?

Ok, so the other day I was on a field trip, and my crush asked me out. I said yes because I really like him. Then about 10 minutes later I found out he asked me out because he was dared to. Then we broke up and he hasn't talked to me since. For example, during Fun Friday at my school, he was trying to get by me on the bleachers, so he tapped me with his foot and motioned saying scoot over. So I did and then he just walked off. I want to know if he actually likes me and wants to go out with me, or only asked me out for the dare. But I am really shy around him and can't get up the guts to ask him. What should I do?
