Firefighter/EMT disaster info?

Im looking for a website that i can apply to help during times of disaster across the US and possibly the world. I jus became an Firefighter and EMT. I heard somebody talk about applying to help fight wildfires in California. Does anyone have any info? I checked FEMA and i couldnt find anything....
