Can I put superglue or a liquid bandage on the cracks in the corners of my mouth?

I have cracks on the corner of my mouth (known as angular cheilitis) that have lasted for about 3 months now. My dentist suggested putting superglue on the cuts because of it's anti-fungal properties. Is this safe and will it work?
