Why is the US helping Greece now when it is at a time of crisis with its huge wildfires?

one half of the ENTIRE country is on fire, 19 other countries came to help and it still isn't enough greece needs help. They are a nato member and part of the european union, they are US allies, the us should help greece, even turkey sent help and they are considered enemeys. The death tolls keep rising. HELP GREECE!!!.
