What internet provider is better.... Comcast or Sbc?

Well I live in Chicago and have Earthlink dial up now and I want High Speed internet. The dsl provider is SBC and the cable provider is Comcast. SBC is cheap but Comcast is faster. I dont know whitch one to get.
