Help for physically hampered friend please?

A friend of mine has just had a BIG op on his knee and will be unable to walk for about 6 weeks. He is going mad now (after less than a week) of just watching tv and games on the pc. Anyone recommend something to do outside which won't require him to walk anywhere???
